The Literary Man Obidos Hotel

Loved all the books. The front desk people were so nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was divine. The staff was always smiling and friendly. The bed was comfortable. Loved the old timey look and feel of the place. And it’s a book lover’s paradise. Took me awhile to walk anywhere in the hotel bc there was so much to see. Loved the generously big bath towels.the location was perfect.

captivating concept. the room had a small balcony overlooking the yard. hotel is outside the city walls and not inside which was good - still very centrally located but quiet and not crowded. room was very nice. Dinner in hotel restaurant was amazing - one of the best of our entire 10 day trip. staff was attentive and kind - gave us recommendations, explained about the hotel etc.

The room was spacious and beautiful yet minimalist. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a large tub which was very much appreciated. In the morning, we had free breakfast and there was a bit of everything. The spotlight goes to the natural juices and the different kinds of delicious breads. We had gone to visit the Feira medieval de Óbidos and it was a very short walk away from the gates. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay again. The property had great character with fusion between old and new. It is well located just outside the village walls. Check in was quick and efficients and we were shown to our rooms.

I love the cozy theme, location and welcoming staff. You are just outside the walled city and there’s a great restaurant just across the plaza. It’s absolutely lovely. I highly recommend.
